Design Engineer Intern

Responsibilities

The Design Engineering Intern will assist the Design Engineering team and will be responsible for generating engineering drawings and 3D models. As time allows, special design works, hands-on prototype assembly, documentation, and other engineering tasks will be allocated.

We have part-time ( 15+ hours per week) available in Spring 2026 and Full-Time (40 hours per week) available Summer 2026. During the Spring and Fall we will work around your class schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have the ability to handle 3d modeling software (ex. SolidWorks, SolidEdge, Revit, etc) and to read/generate manufacturing drawings.

• A basic understanding of manufacturing processes is required.

• Ability to use computers and MS Office software (Word and Excel).

• Must be able to read, speak and write English fluently.

• Ability to understand instructions and work with minimal supervision.

Work Experience:

• 3-D modeling, HVAC, and sheet metal experiences are preferred, but not required.

Education:

• Must be currently enrolled student majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Technologist, or working towards a related degree and/or certifications.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift 50 pounds
