Description

The Accounting Revenue Associate plays a critical role in supporting the financial integrity and operations of the organization. This position is primarily responsible for overseeing revenue billing processes, managing accounts receivable, and maintaining accurate financial records related to Federal and State grants and contracts. The role also provides essential support in payroll, reconciliation of financial statements, preparation of journal entries, account research, maintenance of the general ledger, and other key accounting functions. The ideal candidate will be highly detail-oriented, organized, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or required software as well as other accounting software programs; advanced knowledge in Excel with VLOOKUP formulas and pivot tables is required
  • Knowledge and experience in Sage 300 are a plus.
  • Ability to write and create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Ability to operate related office equipment, such as computers, 10-key calculator, and copier
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to anticipate work needs and interact professionally.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Collaborative work style with the ability to share information through coaching, teaching, and training.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with a need-to-know disclosure only.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisors, co-workers, and people from other departments and vendors.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.  
  • Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Medicaid billing preferred.
  • Prior experience with Federal and State grant billing and revenue tracking is required.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably in nonprofit or government-funded settings is required.
