The Regional Supervisor – West USA plays a crucial role in driving the growth and success of Tajín’s brand across key markets within the Western region. This position is responsible for overseeing all aspects of brand representation, from product development and client engagement to merchandising and market expansion. The Regional Supervisor acts as a brand ambassador, ensuring that Tajín's products reflect the company's values and quality while strategically positioning the brand for increased awareness and market penetration. This role demands a proactive approach to client relationship management, negotiation with key retailers, and the development of effective Point of Sale (POS) strategies. With extensive travel required across the region, the Regional Supervisor must be highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that all marketing and trade activities are executed effectively, contributing to the overall growth of the Tajín brand in the region.

 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the Regional supervisor for the Western region, ensuring Tajín's products reflect the brand’s values and quality.
  • Serve as a hybrid role between trade marketing and sales, ensuring alignment between marketing strategies and sales objectives.
  • Introduce and establish the Tajín brand in new areas, focusing on increasing brand awareness and market penetration across the West.
  • Develop and implement Point of Sale (POS) strategies to enhance product visibility and drive sales in the West region.
  • Work to meet and exceed the annual budget targets for the region, ensuring that all sales and marketing activities contribute to overall financial goals.
  • Negotiate with store managers and heads of retail chains to secure favorable product placements and promotional opportunities.
  • Meet regularly with distributors to review inventory levels, ensuring adequate stock and addressing any supply chain issues.
  • Collaborate with territory managers and distributors to support sales efforts and ensure consistent brand representation.
  • Identify and participate in events and festivals that align with Tajín’s brand energy, helping to increase brand awareness and consumer engagement.
  • Train and develop new merchandisers, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to effectively represent the Tajín brand in stores.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in consumer-packaged goods, brand management, or regional supervision, preferably within the food and beverage industry.
  • Proven experience in managing and expanding a brand presence across a multi-state region.
  • Experience in merchandising and trade marketing, particularly in developing and implementing Point of Purchase (POP) and Point of Sale (POS) strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with retail chains, distributors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Strong sales skills with the ability to negotiate effectively with clients, buyers, and distributors.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team of merchandisers, ensuring alignment with brand goals and strategies.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and POS data to inform strategic decisions and optimize brand presence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market conditions and travel schedules.
  • Highly self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing opportunities for brand expansion and sales growth.
  • A strong customer-oriented mindset with a commitment to providing excellent service and maintaining long-term relationships.

Additional Qualifications

  • Must be willing and able to travel extensively within the assigned region, with occasional travel outside the region as needed.
  • Bilingual skill in English and Spanish is required.
  • Must be capable of handling the physical demands of frequent travel, including driving long distances and standing for extended periods during store visits and events.
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required.
