Job Description:
We are seeking a Manager of Application Development and Support to lead the development, enhancement, and support of our core internal applications, including Microsoft D365 Business Central (ERP), Salesforce (SFDC), and SAP Business One (ERP) along with other internal platforms, such as, FreshService and RedZone . This individual will play a critical role in aligning business needs with technical solutions, managing engineering delivery, and driving application modernization. This is a hands-on role responsible for team development, solution architecture, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure our internal platforms evolve with the business.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead a team of contractor software engineers, analysts, and technical specialists focused on internal business systems and applications
- Collaborate with functional business leaders to understand operational needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions
- Oversee the development, customization, integration, and ongoing support of platforms such as Business Central (ERP), Salesforce, and SAP Business One (ERP)
- Manage delivery across multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met
- Define and enforce software development best practices, coding standards, and architectural principles
- Champion the modernization of legacy systems, identifying opportunities to improve scalability, usability, and system performance
- Partner with IT, Infrastructure, and Security teams to ensure alignment on architecture, data integrity, and compliance
- Support system upgrades, patching, and release management processes
- Evaluate and recommend third-party tools, plugins, or services that can accelerate delivery or improve system capabilities
- Lead vendor relationships where applicable, including SOW management and performance evaluation
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, including retrospectives, team learning, and process enhancements
