Receiver- Ocala

Objective

Unload all items being received into the warehouse.  Check accuracy of quantity and quality of product received, and process all paperwork connected with receiving the product.

Responsibilities/Expectations

• Get a fully charged forklift and perform forklift Operators daily checklist. Fill out your inspection form and perform a thorough pre-trip inspection on pallet jack/forklift.
• Must be certified on pallet jack and forklift.
• Remove all products from trucks by use of forklift, electric pallet jack or by hand.
• Maintain warehouse and warehouse equipment in a neat, clean, orderly, and safe manner.
• Adhere to all safety rules.
• Ensure proper rotation on received items.
• Verify bill of ladings and packing slips against purchase orders to ensure accuracy, perform follow-up procedures on orders, and report damages, shortages, and discrepancies.
• Input received quantities, dates, and bin locations into Encompass.  Print and attach labels to each pallet.
• Notify supervisor of any shortage, damage of product, or poor-quality product.
• Receive, store, organize, and rotate stock utilizing proper storage methods and procedures.
• Stack all products in a safe and orderly manner.
• Maintain and organize dunnage yard.  Report dunnage load backs to supervisor for setup.
• Load out dunnage to outbound trailers for return to supplier. Ensure dunnage is safely loaded.
• Ensure pick lines are filled by use of Encompass’s directive replenishment every day.
• Perform other tasks as requested by management.
• Must be clean shaven and have proper hygiene.
• Must always wear steel-toed boots in the warehouse.
• SAFETY IS ALWAYS FIRST IN EVERYTHING YOU DO.
• Always face the direction of travel.
• Slow down and sound horn at all intersections and blind corners.
• Ensure safe distance between you and any other employee, minimum 3 pallet spaces, before lowering any pallet.
