We’re seeking an experienced and hands-on Controller to lead and evolve our accounting function. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, has a strong foundation in accounting operations, and enjoys solving complex operational and financial challenges. The Controller will support strategic finance initiatives, lead the month-end close, and oversee a team of accountants and AP/procurement staff.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations & Close
- Own the monthly close process including review and preparation of revenue, payroll, and expense accruals
- Review expenses for accuracy and book adjusting journal entries as needed
- Maintain oversight of cash reconciliations, compliance filings (sales tax, annual registrations), and doctor/location-level reporting
- Lead improvements in balance sheet reconciliations and overall ledger integrity
Systems & Process Management
- Maintain and enhance accounting operations in NetSuite (or similar ERP such as Sage Intacct)
- Oversee AP and procurement workflows, including weekly payment runs via Stampli
- Implement scalable best practices across accounting and procurement, with a focus on automation and lean operations
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with the VP of Finance on cash flow forecasting and strategic planning
- Serve as a point of contact for inquiries from doctors, practice managers, the People team, and the executive team
- Provide timely and accurate data to support decision-making across the organization
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor two Senior Accountants
- Provide oversight to the AP/procurement function, ensuring accurate and timely vendor payments and purchase processes
