Practice Manager

• Support Practice Manager in the day-to-day operations of the office.  
• Directs Supervisors engaged in admin/clinic operations.  
• Read the ledger, assist with directing billing concerns.
• Address patient concerns/complaints. 
• Builds relationships of trust and advocates the needs for the Doctor(s), staff and the Company.  
• Provides performance management with direction of the Practice Manager. 
• Assists in developing and maintaining new policies and procedures for the office. 
• Prepares operational reports and reviews schedules to ensure accuracy and efficiency.  
• Recommends cost saving methods to improve efficiency of the office.  
• Supports the Practice Manager to identify and resolve concerns regarding services to customers. 
• Participates in office work with team members to facilitate productivity and customer service to overcome difficult aspects.  
• Ensures compliance with applicable government laws, rules, regulations, and Company policies and procedures.  
• Performs additional duties as assigned

Minimum Education Requirements: 

• HS Diploma required; College Degree preferred; COA/COT/COMT Certification preferred

Minimum Experience Requirements:

• 1-3 years in leadership/management role 
• Ophthalmology experience strongly preferred 

A combination of experience, education, and/or training which substantially demonstrates the 
following knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Advanced knowledge of HIPAA guidelines
• Knowledge of diagnostic codes, billing codes and filing claims
• Ability to manage and work with a Customer Service attitude and polite telephone etiquette
• Proficient in MS(Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet)
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal)
• Able to lead and manage staff (co-workers)
• Aptitude with mathematical functionality (budgets, ledgers, financial reporting)
• Self-motivated, disciplined, driven, focused, observant
• Proactive, takes initiative, attention to detail, a problem solver
