Job Purpose Summary:
The Water treatment/Acidulation operator is a member of the Operations Team reporting directly to the Superintendent of Operations and Operations Supervisors. The Water treatment/Acidulation operator is accountable and responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy process.

Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor both systems in a timely manner while still running efficiently.
- Understand, or have the ability to learn the required operation of the Water treatment/Acidulation process.
- Processes water samples from the boilers, cooling tower and Water treatment area utilizing lab equipment.
- Monitors and adjusts operations to meet quality and production requirements.
- Transfers process chemicals in a safe manner.
- Communicating with operators and supervision to address the needs for Acidulation tank space, to avoid impacting refinery operation.
- Keeping inventory in order as needed to keep a healthy system.
- Learn processing controls using a computerized system.
- Participate in audits, ensuring all areas are audit ready at all times.
- Complete all personal required safety trainings.
- Operate forklift as needed after proper training/certification.
- Read and follow Standard Operating Procedures and forms.
- Ensure a clean and safe work environment adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Learn and maintain proper use of personal protection equipment (P.P.E.).
- Report all accidents, incidents and near misses to the Superintendent of Operations and the Plant Manager.
- Ensure all tasks are completed safely as assigned to the shift.
- Participate in all audits, ensuring all areas are audit-ready at all times.
- Follow all safety rules and requirements, attending safety meetings, and tailgates.
- Other duties as directed or required.
