Educational / Minimum Requirements:
- BA or BS, preferably in Business, Accounting, or Finance, or equivalent work experienceÂ
- Five (5) years’ experience in healthcare preferred, including significant experience specialized in cash handling, reconciliation, and cash management areas as identified above.
- Three (3) years’ previous supervisory experience in healthcare preferred.
- Knowledge of state and federal regulations as they pertain to collection processes and procedures.

Bristol Hospital Mandated Educational Requirements:
General orientation at time of hire. Fire/Safety/Infection Control annually.Â
Special Requirements:
Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and projects. Strong computer analytical skills with an aptitude for learning new software programs and the ability to assimilate changes. Outstanding supervisory and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged sitting at a desk and/or computer terminal. Significant paperwork requiring extensive eye usage. Physically able to handle paperwork and patient filing. Vision and hearing corrected to normal.Â
Work Environment:
Normal office conditions.
Cognitive Requirements:
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to deal effectively with physicians, clients, and other related professional personnel. Excellent mathematical and analytical skills; must be able to reconcile patient accounts and spreadsheets expediently. Detail oriented personality. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
