What You Will Do:
As the Facilities Director, you will oversee the maintenance of buildings and grounds, related budgeting and capital spending, compliance, procurement, team supervision, risk management, and project and construction management. You will also ensure that NatureBridge and National Park Service (NPS) assets are well-maintained, and that all facilities operations and work meet federal safety and health standards.Â

Your primary job will be:
Â
Operations and Maintenance
- Create, document, and manage comprehensive preventative maintenance and repair plan for all NatureBridge-operated facilities on the Yosemite Campus.
- Procure equipment and supplies.
- Manage work order system and processes and requests. Monitor staff and customer feedback, and communicate and respond appropriately.
- Track and monitor energy and water consumption to help ensure efficiencies and minimize overconsumption.Â

External RelationsÂ
- Serve as the facilities liaison to the National Park Service, ensuring that all work completed complies with NPS policies, procedures, and standards.
- Manage compliance with NESC Operations & Maintenance Agreement, including all required monitoring and reporting to NPS and the State of California.
- Manage all facilities vendor contracts, services and relationships, including RFPs, contracts, payments, renewals and communication.
- Secure contractor bids, read and interpret contracts, and comply with federal procurement guidelines.
Â
Project Management
- Create, document and manage comprehensive multi-year capital projects and investment plans.
- Oversee the planning, project and risk management, and scheduling of all facilities team activities. Establish team priorities and be accountable for the timely completion of projects and tasks.Â
- With the Yosemite Campus Director, NESC Project Director, and National Office, represent NatureBridge’s interests with contractors, architects, and engineers for the NESC.Â
Â
Budget and Asset ManagementÂ
- Manage the facilities department budget, totaling over $1.3 million in annual operating expenses.
- Develop and oversee all aspects of the Facilities budget, including monitoring monthly expenses and working cooperatively with Finance and Campus staff to ensure that operations are consistent with the budget.Â
- Together with campus leadership, develop and oversee the annual or multi-year capital budget for the Yosemite campus.
- Oversee management of staff housing units, including lease agreements, compliance, communication, maintenance, and turn over of units.
- Oversee vehicle fleet use, repairs, maintenance, allocation and purchases.
- Administer payment of invoices, taxes, and registrations.

LeadershipÂ
- Encourage a culture of innovation in sustainable practices in keeping with NatureBridge’s mission.
- Build and lead high-functioning and collaborative teams and drive positive department and campus culture.
- Serve as a member of the Yosemite Director Team; partner and collaborate with other directors at Yosemite and at the National office.Â
- Partner with the National and Campus Directors of Risk Management on campus safety.
- Be available for staff and thoughtfully consider organizational needs in decision-making processes.Â
- Represent the facilities department as needed with the Yosemite staff, national office, and board.Â
- Other duties as assigned.

- Recruit and hire facilities staff
- Supervise, train, support, and evaluate facilities team and individual staff
- Provide professional development opportunities as appropriate to direct reports
- Troubleshoot and follow through issues raised by employees; seek support from Campus Leadership and/or Human Resources as needed. Â

Compensation:
- $68,000-$80,000 annual salary
