What You Will Do:

Coastal Camp at NatureBridge is a summer day camp designed to combine marine and coastal ecology themes with hands-on educational activities and games, providing exciting opportunities for discovery in the great outdoors. As an integral member of the Camp Administrative Team, the Camp Coordinator supports the Camp Director in administering and coordinating program operations and logistics for Coastal Camp. This is a seasonal, full-time and onsite position from Monday, January 5, through August 21, 2026. 

 

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis. The hiring process consists of 1 phone screen followed by 1-2 panel interviews for select applicants.

 

This position takes place at our campus in the Marin Headlands and cannot be performed remotely.

 

Your primary job will be to:

  • Serve as primary customer service contact for camp participant guardians, communicating with them via phone and email 
  • Organize and distribute camp messages to other Camp Admin Team members 
  • Maintain logistics systems such as camper waitlists, transfers and refunds
  • Perform ongoing maintenance and updates within the registration software, including editing program listings and participant information
  • Inventory and maintain camp supplies
  • Create and update camp curriculum and materials
  • Campus set up and break down before & after camp season
  • Assist with the hiring of camp staff, including conducting interviews and assessing applicants 
  • Help plan and co-lead staff training (June 8-12, 2026)
  • Supervision of up to 10 seasonal camp staff, conducting field observations, providing guidance, inputting paperwork, and submitting payroll
  • Rotating facilitation of weekly camp staff meetings and participation in Camp Admin Team meetings
  • Rotating role of staff standby manager
  • Must be available to work weekdays in person for the entirety of the camp season, June 8 - August 21, 2026
  • Occasional weekends required (camp fairs, summer staff move in/move out, etc.)
  • Rotating admin on-call duties: if living in staff housing, you will be on call for staff and participants on site.
  • Assist with campers who are exhibiting challenging behaviors, sick, or need a break from the camp group
  • Other duties and responsibilities as needed

 

Compensation:

  • $20-22/hour

Qualifications

Who You Are:

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years related leading summer camp programming or experiential education experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity and inclusion in the workplace. We especially encourage you to apply if you are a member of (or have extensive experience working with people from) any communities that are impacted by the historic and current system of oppression that has limited access to environmental education, or the outdoors in general.
  • Experience fostering positive outcomes for children with diverse behavioral needs
  • Customer service and office administration experience
  • Proficiency with Google Suite or equivalent database software
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to balance multiple tasks at once and work independently
  • Experience or training in equity and inclusion work and commitment to upholding EI&D practices in the workplace
  • Demonstrated experience managing risk
  • First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain certification before employment
