Description

The Carthage Worship Leader is responsible for helping to fulfill the vision of the Lead Pastor. As Worship Leader, they are responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the weekend worship experience, fostering discipleship by developing worship teams and overseeing the Production Team.

  • Oversee all aspects of worship experiences at the Carthage Campus, including music, tracks, charts, audio, production, scheduling, and setup. 
  • Support the Worship Pastor in weekly worship planning, including song selection and service flow.
  • Occasionally, be available to lead worship at other campuses or events as requested.
  • Recruit, audition, and onboard new worship and production team members.
  • Shepherd and mentor team members through regular meetings and spiritual encouragement.
  • Collaborate with the Worship Development Director to create and manage worship and production team schedules using Planning Center Online.
  • Respond promptly to emails, calls, and GraceLink queues for volunteer teams.
  • As a member of the Direct Report Team (DRT), you will supervise the Carthage Production Coordinator.
  • Monitoring work hours, performance, and overall health through scheduled direct report meetings. Reference and adjust job descriptions of personnel as needed. 
  • Employees who work 20+ hours per week are required to work any “all hands on deck” events, including Easter, Sundays, Christmas Eve, etc.
  • Participate in educational opportunities, read professional publications, and stay current on industry changes and trends to update job knowledge.
  • Stay current with all applicable process queues, forms, and data input into Gracelink for specific departments.

Qualifications

  • Born again and water baptized.
  • Have a life that reflects the teachings of Jesus (Matthew 5-7) and produces the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5)
  • Devoted to the basic disciplines of the faith – Worship, Prayer, and Tithing
  • Attend worship services regularly
  • Lead/attend a small group or serve in a ministry regularly
  • At least four years of leading worship in a church setting is preferred. 
  • Proficiency in playing a musical instrument.
  • Experience in mobilizing teams.
  • Excellent project management skills.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to articulate and implement the vision of Grace Church.
  • Experience in planning large events and delegating tasks to volunteers.
  • Detailed knowledge, agreement, and adherence to Grace Church mission, vision, and core values.
  • Self–motivated and organized with the ability to recruit, train, & lead teams of volunteers.
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Have a spirit of discernment and discretion.
