Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our taco taco restaurant (catalina hotel) team! Providing exceptional dining experiences for our guests. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by delivering high-quality service, taking orders, and assisting with food and beverage selections. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a passion for food service, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Greet and seat guests promptly with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using the OpenTable system or other order management tools.
- Provide detailed menu information and recommendations to enhance guest experience.
- Ensure timely delivery of food and beverages to tables while maintaining proper presentation standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and timely service.
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, including cash register operations and cash handling procedures.
- Assist in bussing tables, clearing dishes, and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Manage time effectively to balance multiple tables and ensure all guests receive prompt attention.
- Address guest inquiries or concerns professionally to maintain positive guest relations.
- Adhere to food handling and safety regulations to ensure a clean and safe dining environment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash register operations and cash handling procedures is advantageous.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with team members across various departments, including kitchen staff.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy shifts.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and safety protocols is essential.
- Ability to build rapport with guests through effective communication and guest relations skills.
- Experience with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is a plus but not mandatory.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and commitment to providing outstanding service are essential traits for success in this role.
