MINIMUM MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Equivalent combinations of education and experience that provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities will be evaluated on an individual basis.
Additional Qualifications
- Ability to operate and use janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies such as floor buffers, vacuum cleaners, and cleaning compounds and solutions.
- Knowledge of maintaining, cleaning, and preserving a variety of surfaces; proper use of a wide range of chemicals according to state and Federal regulations; handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
- Knowledge of the standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment used to clean floors and furniture.
- Ability to interpret instructions, specifications to cleaning solutions, and other technical information.
- Ability to do the work of the position with or without direct supervision.
- Awareness and knowledge of agency safety standards.
- Must be currently enrolled in Child Care Division-Criminal History Registry.

Must have excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
Physical:
- Constant standing during shift.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive arm/hand movements.
- Frequent lifting of 25-50 pounds.
- Occasional pushing and pulling of heavy furniture and equipment.
Environmental: Occasional discomforts dealing with unpleasant situations, exposure to dust, fumes, odors, gases, chemical substances, and electrical currents. Incumbents may have exposure to urine/feces/blood/saliva.

- Comply with all Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma Policies and Procedures.
- Uphold the Policy and Procedures of the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma and associated programs services.
- To report and document accidents/injuries immediately to supervisor.
- Attends all scheduled employee trainings and brings suggestions for improvement.

Likewise, Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma may terminate the employment relationship at will at any time with or without notice and for any lawful reason deemed appropriate by the Tribe and the staff or for good cause, bad cause, or no cause at all. This policy is commonly referred to as “employment-at-will.”
