This position organizationally falls under the Realty and Property Director. Operational hours are Monday through Sunday; 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M, or as needed. The purpose of this position is to perform those duties as may be commonly associated with housekeeping in such a way to promote the cleanliness and sanitary environment to enhance the appearance of the Kickapoo Tribe of Oklahoma Motel. It also is to perform those duties associated with checking guests in and out of the motel and being available for requests made by guests during their stay.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Tasks are as follows, but not limited to:
- Performs heavy duties by cleaning floor, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and/or vacuuming, shampooing (clean) carpets and dry carpets, preps, strip, applies finish, spray, and buff tile floor(s).
- Gathers and empties trash cans, paper shredders and transports trash to disposal area.
- Empties all outside trash and/or cigarette butt containers.
- Setting up and taking down a continental breakfast every morning.
- Cleans and polishes furniture and fixtures.
- Ability to learn Software necessary for the motel.
- Clean windows, door panels, mirrors, and sills inside and out.
- Monitors in-house inventory movement and complete inventory transfer forms.
- Dusts furniture, walls, machines and equipment.
- Disinfect all doorknobs, chairs and tables.
- Cleans and stocks all dispensers, such as soap, sanitizer, shampoo, sanitary waste boxes, toilet paper, towels, etc.
- Clean vacant rooms and prepare them for new guests to check in.
- Change bedding in rooms.
- Clean and fold towels, sheets and washcloths.
- Process check-in for guests coming to the motel.
- Responsible for housing occupants during emergencies and ceremonial events, which include after hours.
- Available to be on call for emergency check-ins and if emergencies arise at the motel after hours.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Must be self-motivated and be able to work with little or no supervision. Prompt and daily attendance is of utmost importance; failure to be on the job not only disrupts the smooth functioning of the employee’s own job but also inconveniences the other interrelated jobs. The success of an employee depends on large measures on how well the job is done each day.
Physical: Physical effort requires long periods of standing, walking, bending, and/or stooping to perform duties. Incumbents must be capable of lifting 50 pounds or more to regularly load and deliver packages.
Environmental: Occasional discomforts dealing with unpleasant situations, exposure to dust, fumes, odors, gases, chemical substances, and electrical currents. The work environmental characteristics described herein are representative of those employee encounters while performing the primary functions of this job in any maintenance. Normal functions related to such a work environment should be expected, and conditions may flex to a high stress level, and a varying number of employees and staff with whom this employee must interact. Work involves working interdepartmentally and maintaining a clean, safe working environment.

Employment with the Kickapoo Tribe, without a written contract, is voluntary and therefore employees are free to resign at any time with or without cause or reason. Likewise, the Tribe may terminate the employment relationship at any time with or without notice and for any lawful reason deemed appropriate by the Tribe for good cause, bad cause, or no cause at all. This policy is commonly referred to as “employment-at-will.”
