As a Product Delivery Manager at Medefy Health, you are the execution engine of our product development process. You bridge the gap between strategic product planning and tactical delivery, ensuring that prioritized work moves smoothly through the development pipeline to successful deployment. Your focus is on driving execution through establishing clear milestones, managing sprint planning, and facilitating the release process.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Key Responsibilities
    • Drive Execution & Planning
      • Collaborate with engineering teams to scope and establish realistic and achievable milestones based on the prioritized roadmap
      • Assist in defining feature requirements and user stories in collaboration with Product Team and stakeholders
      • Align prioritized work with sprint and milestone schedules, ensuring cross-functional visibility and accountability
      • Maintain and optimize the development workflow to maximize team productivity and quality
      • Track progress against milestones and proactively identify and address potential blockers
    • Manage the Release Process
      • Coordinate and facilitate the release/deployment process from planning to execution
      • Ensure proper testing, validation, and documentation for each release
      • Communicate release schedules and deployment status to stakeholders
      • Facilitate post-release retrospectives to identify improvement opportunities
    • Channel & Triage Requests
      • Funnel incoming requests through appropriate channels for proper prioritization (Zendesk, Jira, escalation paths, etc.)
      • Create and categorize bugs/enhancements and raise them to the Product Team Lead
      • Escalate critical production issues directly to engineering when immediate attention is required
      • Serve as a filter to protect the engineering team from distractions while ensuring urgent matters receive attention
  • Working Relationships
    • With Product Team Lead
      • Receive prioritized backlog items and translate them into execution plans
      • Provide feedback on feasibility and capacity constraints
      • Communicate progress, blockers, and risks that may impact delivery
    • With Engineering Teams
      • Collaborate on sprint planning and milestone establishment
      • Provide product support within daily standups and facilitate other Agile ceremonies as needed
      • Remove obstacles that impede development progress
      • Ensure engineering resources are appropriately focused on prioritized work
    • With Stakeholders
      • Set and manage expectations regarding delivery timelines
      • Provide regular status updates on development progress
      • Communicate changes to release schedules or scope
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

You must have at least the following: 

  • Bachelors degree in Project Management, Product Design, Industrial or Systems Engineering
  • Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Familiarity with project management and ticketing tools
  • Basic understanding of software development processes
  • Knowledge of release management and deployment practices
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities
  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail

 

It would be great if you have:

  • MBA
  • PMP (Project Management Professional)
  • Scrum Master Certification
  • 2+ years’ experience in any of the following areas: health insurance, employee benefits, insurance brokerage, HR, telemedicine, general healthcare

 

Supervisory Duties: No supervisory duties

Physical and Mental Requirements:

 

Remote Work Environment: This position is performed remotely in a home-office setting. The employee must ensure a quiet, private workspace free from distractions and suitable for video conferencing and focused work. A reliable high-speed internet connection is required.

 

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer (up to 8+ hours per day).
  • Frequent use of a computer keyboard, mouse, and screen; ability to type at least 45 WPM.
  • Occasional movement within the home office environment (e.g., retrieving office supplies or documents).
  • Vision abilities required include close vision for computer use and reading documentation, with or without corrective lenses.
  • Occasional light lifting of materials (up to 15 lbs), such as a laptop or office equipment, may be required.

 

Communication Requirements:

  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English using written and verbal channels (email, chat, video conferencing, phone).
  • Must be able to read and interpret complex written information such as healthcare documentation, performance reports, and company procedures.
  • Must be responsive and present during scheduled working hours and team communications, including virtual meetings and collaboration platforms.

  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and competing priorities in a high-paced environment.
  • Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and problem-solving under time constraints.

  • Requires emotional resilience, especially when assisting users in distress or resolving escalated member concerns.
  • Must be able to maintain composure and a professional demeanor under pressure.

 

Work Schedule & Attendance:

  • Must be punctual, dependable, with potential for on-call duties as needed.
  • Must maintain regular attendance and meet performance expectations without direct on-site supervision.
