OPPORTUNITY

Warwick is seeking an Investment Associate to work on energy, infrastructure credit and firm-level work.  This role will work deeply with our integrated teams in across engineering, geology, accounting, data science, land, investor relations and the executive committee.  Responsibilities will be 1) assisting with the management and monitoring of portfolio assets including capex investment decisions and quarterly board meeting materials, 2) working with technical teams with the evaluation of development opportunities across a range of transaction and deal types. The role will be focused primarily on private equity but will also involve work across the capital structure for both private and public companies.  This role also involves key team work for annual investor reporting, annual meetings and investor presentation decks.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain asset level operating models
  • Support financial risk management activities including hedging, credit utilization and financial structuring, working closely with external credit and derivative counterparties to execute risk management program
  • Support technical teams with the economic evaluation of investments in both Warwick’s operated and non-operated asset base across multiple energy and real asset funds
  • Support fundraising activities and the development of marketing collateral for various funds, as needed
  • Build internal investment committee memos for new acquisitions, drilling and divestiture decisions - and present recommendations to executive management
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on investment/asset performance, highlighting critical information including variances in performance vs plan
  • Investigate and communicate detailed variance explanations on performance vs underwriting and plan – utilizing critical thinking in questioning performance
  • Conduct market research and analyze trends across various real asset classes including oil and gas, metals and mining, and various types of real estate

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

· 2+ years of experience in Investment Banking advisory, restructuring or Private Equity roles focused on upstream oil and gas (4+ years preferred)

· Demonstrated career progression and the ability to advance, performing above role expectations

· A top ranked performer in current roles

· Demonstrated experience as a self-starter, with a strong attention to detail, proactive approach and ability to prioritize in a multi-faceted work environment

· Ability to interact and communicate effectively with individuals from multiple departments and disciplines

· Knowledge of various upstream processes and workflows
