Summary

The Quality Inspector is responsible for the overall quality of the boat. This person ensures that all options and functions are checked and operating correctly along with ensuring the boat meets the cosmetic criteria.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


  • Look at the overall cosmetic quality of the boat
  • Perform a full functional test on the boat
  • Ensure all options are in the boat
  • Record all data into Aims Quality Tracking System
  • Maintain tracking system for all short stocks in boat
  • Be able to work in all areas of the factory to audit the product
  • Other duties may be assigned.

 

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:  High School Diploma or GED; Two years or more experience in boating industry is desirable



Language Skills: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.



Mathematical Skills:  Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs



Reasoning Ability:  Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
