JOB SUMMARY:Â
Â
The SUN Site Supervisor works under the supervision of the SUN Program Manager and the school Principal to co-manage SUNÂ activities. Â Provides program development, community outreach, service coordination, resource development, volunteer coordination, budget monitoring, reporting, and planning.
Two main qualities we are specifically looking for are - creative interaction skills and community building skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â
- Provides leadership in the development and support of work groups and action planning designed to further the mission and goals of SUN. This includes:Â

Completion of a community asset/needs assessment.
-
Design and implement a forum for collaboration with other school-based organizations and services.
-
Promotion of service delivery and planning that is multi-jurisdictional.
-
Integration of support services with academic instruction, enrichment and recreational activities.
-
Relationship-building within and outside of the school and surrounding community.
- Conducts on-going outreach and recruitment of a broad and diverse base of community members, organizations and businesses to participate in SUNÂ planning and implementation of programs and activities.
- Promotes resource development. This includes:
- Coordinates with other community, school and public service providers to place a variety of support services at the school for families. Includes oversight of before and after school activities and involves supervision of staff, contractors, volunteers and students.
- Collect and analyze data. This includes:

Responsible for distribution and collection of surveys,
-
Ensuring program participation data is complete, cleaned, and entered,
-
Ensure academic data trends and risk factors are complete and entered.
- Perform and/or participate in program evaluation. This includes using data from multiple sources to improve program performance.
- Supervises and supports program staff, contractors, partners, and volunteers. This includes:Â

Providing program orientation to new staff, contractors, partners, and volunteers.

Performing annual performance reviews to program staff
-
Providing training and regular supervision for program staff and volunteers.Â

Conducting performance observations for program staff and volunteers

Providing administrative support to human resources department including:Â
- Monitors budget through monthly financial statements and maintains spending within annual budget limits.Â

Participates in development of annual budget and half-yearly rebalance.

Brings budgetary concerns and discrepancies to Program Manager
- Responsible for performance of program contracts including spending within budgets, meeting outputs and outcomes, staffing, and recruitment. Forwards all contracts to Program Manager for the Executive Director to sign.Â
- Responsible for program curriculum either by identifying an existing program curriculum or by developing new curriculum. Curriculum should be aligned with evidence-based practices or promising practices.Â
- Responsible for safety of program participants through ongoing risk management of safety processes, and alignment of program safety procedures with school safety procedures.Â
- Participates in agency leadership through:

Attending agency Supervisors Meetings or by attending meetings as designated.

Understanding and enforcing agency policies and processes.Â

 Make recommendations for improved program policies and processes.

 Engaging community to advocate for SUN programs and services.Â

Participate in agency committees.
- Performs administrative tasks including organizing and facilitating meetings, drafts an annual work plan and budget, compiles and disseminates SUN information, and writes and submits required reports.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
- Strongly encouraged but not required, proficiency in Somali, Spanish or Arabic.
