Field Service Technician LEAD

What you’ll do…

  • Conduct, support, and lead emissions testing in the field.
  • Represent our organization as a technical expert and liaison to customers.
  • Provide customer training and support whenever needed.
  • Design and conduct experimental tests to evaluate products against specifications.
  • Continually monitor current and future product specifications against market needs.
  • Test and verify user-software functionality and data processing accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in production of user manuals and other technical documentation of products. Assist other departments in furtherance of Sensors’ goals.

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

Willing to travel domestically and, occasionally, internationally via air and land. (Road Warrior)

  • Willing and able to work extended hours when in the field.
  • Maintain a valid chauffeur driver's license.

IMPORTANT:

  • Familiarity with diesel and gasoline engine operation.
  • Mechanical aptitude, familiarity with tools, and willingness to apply both, especially when troubleshooting unfamiliar vehicle setups.
  • Ability to work in a team environment at the office, and directly with customers from various parts of the world.
  • Available to travel on short notice.
  • Willingness to work with customer's schedules which can mean variable and unusual start and end times.
  • Capable of lifting up to 70 lbs.
  • Strong analytical skills. Determine cause and effect based on experimental data.
  • Expertise in MS Office tools, particularly Excel.
  • Professional oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

DESIRABLE:

  • Basic understanding of electronics and pneumatics (read schematics, wiring diagrams).
  • Previous emission measurement experience.
  • Experience with Portable Emissions Measurement Systems (PEMS).
  • Ability to work with a variety of software-based tools
