Qualifications

The Design Administrative Assistant position is responsible for assisting assigned designers with various functions associated with design related projects.

Essential Functions

  • Data entry, including entering customer information and preparing design jobs
  • Maintains office supplies and coordinates maintenance of office equipment.
  • Constructs files and maintains filing systems.
  • Assist in preparation of design proposals.
  • Maintain cabinet samples and sample doors.
  • Responds to and resolves administrative inquires and questions.
  • Records and distributes minutes or other records for meetings.

Work Environment
This job operates in an office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, up to 20 pounds.

Required Education and Experience

  • Basic understanding of clerical procedures and systems such as recordkeeping and filing.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Interior Design or related field.
  • Ability to read and scale blueprints.
  • Experience with Bluebeam software.
  • Knowledge of 2020, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or related software.
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
