POSITION: Receiver

DEPARTMENT: Warehouse

JOB DESCRIPTION: This position is one that requires that the person be able to drive a forklift and be able to load and unload trucks. They are responsible for the documentation of what is being loaded or unloaded from a truck. They must follow all safety rules when loading trucks and are responsible for the truck driver following safety rules.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Work at a safe and productive pace
• Effectively follow instructions and work by priority list
• Accurately read purchase ordered and catch any discrepancy between what is ordered and what actually comes in
• Possess more than basic computer skills
• Work overtime when necessary/required and with short notice
• Work in all weather conditions as job requires working inside and outside through the course of a single shift
• Work in the natural element of heat and cold (production facility is not heated in winter nor cooled in summer)
• Other duties as assigned by management
• Quality check system
• Use computer programs including Microsoft Office and the Company selected ERP system to enter orders for materials, process those orders for payment, receive those orders once they are delivered, maintain inventory levels on those orders while the materials are located in the warehouse, distribute the materials to various work centers as needed/requested, and document deficiencies as noted upon receipt of the materials on those orders.
• Ensure the daily start up and shut down checks on a propane powered forklift or completed according to the manufacturer’s instructions and the Company procedures.

ENVIRONMENT & WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to work in the natural element of heat and cold (production facility is not heated in winter nor cooled in summer)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted.
• Ability to work scheduled shifts
• Ability to bend, stoop, sit, grasp with hands, feel texture with fingers, cling, walk, twist, stand, and work on concrete for up to twelve hours per day up to six (6) days per week
• Must be able to work at heights of greater than 6 feet on a regular basis/as work dictates
• Ability to work overtime when necessary/required and with short notice
• Ability to work in all weather conditions as job requires working inside and outside through the course of a single shift

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: 

• Punctual
• Must possess a valid and current driver’s license
• Properly and accurately read load/ship packages and documents

Primary Job Responsibilities: 

• Dependable and on time
• Assemble units that meet our QC standards
• Work safely and follow all safety procedures and guidelines. Maintain a clean work area.
• Demonstrate a familiarity with hand tools, such as drill motors and grinders
• Follows priority processes and maintains records as needed
• Must be able to work scheduled shifts and extra hours when needed
• Able to read and write
• Able to follow instructions
• Demonstrate the ability to read a tape measure to 1/8” increments
• Perform maintenance checks on forklift daily
• Unload materials, pallets, and crates from trucks as they arrive
• Presort and pre-stack finished products prior to loading
• Load outbound freight trucks, both box and flatbed type trailers
• Demonstrate familiarity with forklift operations
• Must be able to read shipping paperwork and identify discrepancies

Environment & Working Conditions:

• Able to endure climate changes (hot and cold)

Physical Demands:

• Able to lift up to 25 lbs. unassisted
• Able to bend, stoop, and climb
• Able to work while standing on concrete for up to 12 hours a day
