We are hiring a reliable, results-driven individual to fill the role of Warehouse Associate in our Milford Interstate Batteries facility. The expected hours are Monday - Friday, approx 9:00 am - 5:30pm. The schedule will fluctuate during our busy season (Nov - Feb) when overtime is expected.

About your future job
As a Warehouse Associate, you will perform a variety of duties that include receiving new battery deliveries, processing incoming used batteries (cores) from the day before, picking and filling new battery orders from inventory, packing and loading delivery trucks prior to daily deliveries, and organizing & managing inventory. This is not like an amazon or retail distribution warehouse; our processes are not fully automated, the batteries can be heavy, and the processing of incoming used batteries (cores) is oftentimes a dirty job. You will be constantly moving & performing a variety of tasks throughout the day that requires physical labor.
Some basic responsibilities include.....
- Unloading delivery trucks and checking in new & used battery (cores) inventory
- Testing used batteries (cores) to determine where they go next in the process
- Prepare orders by accurately picking new battery inventory from stock, stacking & wrapping pallets, loading delivery trucks and stacking outgoing orders in designated areas
- Sort, organize & place batteries on shelves, according to organizational standards
- Safely operate equipment such as pallet jacks & forklifts
- Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, recording amounts of products received or distributed through a computer. May also assist in counting of physical inventory
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by area clean & organized at all times
- Follow all safety procedures & guidelines
- Attend & contribute to daily & weekly meetings
Physical requirements and abilities
- Regularly lift, carry and/or move product weighing 40-60lbs & occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend and reach
- Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance
- Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus
- Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) such as steel toed shoes, gloves & safety glasses
