Job Summary:

The Family Advocate Specialist plays a critical role in supporting the Family Advocates of multiple Early Childhood Education (ECE) centers. This position provides flexible staffing coverage, participant intake, recruitment, community outreach, and data-driven support. The Specialist also mentors new hires, assists in identifying training needs, and ensures compliance with company policies to promote positive outcomes for children and families.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's degree with specialization in family support, psychology, sociology, family life, social work, children and families, early childhood, or child development preferred

•     Bilingual (English and Spanish and / or Arabic) preferred.

  • 1-2 years Prior experience in early childhood education as a Family Advocate required

 

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS:  

  • Proficient in generating and interpreting ChildPlus (CP) reports
  • Support continuous quality improvement within Health and Family Supports
    • Reviewing and reporting on data
    • Identifying areas in need of training and technical assistance
  • Provide Family Advocate staffing coverage and FA support at various SFS ECE centers, assisting high-volume or understaffed locations for the Family Advocate role
  • Assist with intake for high volume-centers, including follow-up on voicemails and documentation
  • Attend and support recruitment events and community outreach initiatives
  • Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations
  • Support onboarding of new hires through shadowing and mentoring, in collaboration with Family Advocate Supervisors
  • Work independently with strong initiative and a flexible, positive attitude
  • Collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment; independently resolve routine issues and escalate complex situations to the Family Advocate Supervisor as appropriate
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all company policies and procedures
  • Ability to travel frequently between SFS ECE centers and adapt to varying work locations and schedules
  • Coordinate support for the program’s most vulnerable families

LICENSING AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid driver’s license
