Job Title: Certified Medication Aide (CMA) – Staffing Agency (Kansas)
Job Summary:
We are seeking reliable, experienced Certified Medication Aides (CMAs) to join our healthcare staffing agency in Kansas. As a CMA, you will be assigned to a variety of long-term care, assisted living, and rehabilitation facilities across the state. You will be responsible for administering routine medications and supporting resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing staff. This role offers flexible scheduling, diverse assignments, and the opportunity to make a positive impact in multiple care environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer oral, topical, and other non-injectable medications to residents as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Accurately document medication administration in accordance with facility procedures and Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS) regulations
- Observe and promptly report side effects, medication reactions, or changes in resident condition to supervising nurse • Assist with basic resident care, including hygiene, mobility, and comfort measures (as directed) • Safely store, handle, and dispose of medications per state and facility guidelines
- Communicate effectively with facility staff while representing the agency professionally
- Travel to various assigned facilities based on scheduling and staffing needs
- Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold all HIPAA standard
Schedule & Work Conditions:
- Flexible scheduling: PRN, part-time, and full-time options available
