QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
A degree in a behavioral health-related field, such as an associate or bachelor’s degree, is preferred.
Obtain the Certificate of Addiction Technician (CAT) certification within 18 months of the hire date.
Obtain case management certification within 90 days of hire.
Experience:
Minimum of two years of experience working in the substance use and mental health field.
Other:
Must have a good understanding of substance use, mental health, and treatment delivery systems.
Advanced computer skills required.
CPR and First-Aid certification (the agency covers the costs for both initial training and renewal courses).
Must be able to take vital signs, recognize possible medical problems, and refer to the medical staff when necessary.
Valid driver's license and good driving record (must provide a current, unofficial DMV driving record upon hire).
Able to communicate effectively in a multidimensional treatment program, including medical, psychiatric, and substance use-related.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The position is in a residential setting.
