 JOB DESCRIPTION    

Position Summary:
Responsible for the transactional purchasing for all raw materials related to wood manufacturing in accordance with vendor agreements, the manufacturing schedule, project specifications, and company policy. Also, responsible for ensuring control and accuracy of physical and recorded inventory.


Work Hours:

This position may be offered as full-time or part-time, depending on the candidate’s experience and availability. Details can be discussed during the interview process

Essential functions:

•    Coordinate with Procurement Manager concerning vendor agreements and blanket orders.
•    Assist with purchasing decisions by evaluating stock and reviewing vendor agreements.
•    Work with Production Manager to schedule vendor deliveries in accordance with the manufacturing schedule and inform Material Handlers accordingly.

•    Ensure all Work Orders are closed accurately and timely (within 5 days after the Work Order ships).
•    Works with team leaders in Shipping, Maintenance, Installation and Production to manage and procure stock items and supplies.
•    Create and ensure all fields on purchase order form are accurate and confirmed (i.e., cost, delivery date, shipping method, shipping address, GL Code, payment terms, etc.) in Innergy.
•    Collaborates with Material Handlers and Accounting department to keep accurate inventory of all material by establishing standardized procedures for physical inventory and controls that ensure physical inventory agrees to recorded inventory.
•    Responsible for periodic cycle counts, obsolete inventory, etc. and executing annual physical count.
•    Serve as back-up to the Material Handlers.
 

Working Conditions:
•    While performing the duties of the job, the team member is exposed to the outdoor elements, such as extremely hot conditions, rain, cold weather, and wind.
•    While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration.

Qualifications

Required education and experience:
•    At least 2 years of experience in the manufacturing industry required (specific to the architectural wood working industry preferred).
•    Understanding of standard purchasing concepts and controls.
•    Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Word, Teams, Excel, and Outlook.
•    High School Diploma or GED required.
•    Excellent relationship building skills.
•    High-level attention to detail.
•    Must be proactive and have above average follow-up skills.
