Travel Required: Yes – Must be willing and able to travel to various clinic locations as needed


About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing both patient check-in and check-out processes, supporting front desk operations, and providing leadership support to the front office team. Medical Office Assistant Duties:

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors, identifying and addressing their needs.

  • Answer phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately.

  • Enter and verify patient demographic and insurance information in the EMR system.

  • Check for necessary referrals and ensure all forms are completed and signed.

  • Assemble patient charts and prepare for appointments.

  • Schedule appointments, procedures, x-rays, and tests as requested.

  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances.

  • Confirm appointments scheduled for the next business day.

  • Manage and update patient records in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.

  • Maintain an organized and professional front desk and reception area.

  • Travel to other clinic sites as needed – reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

  • Prior experience in a medical office or front desk setting preferred.

  • Knowledge of medical terminology is a plus.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to multitask and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment.

  • Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel between clinic sites.
