Role Description:

The Financial Analyst II is responsible for leading financial analysis efforts that support decision making across the company. This position requires a strong analytical background with the ability to analyze and consolidate financial results for reporting to Senior Management. Should be a self-starter, able to demonstrate sound judgement and versatility in decision-making and problem solving.

Duties:

• Provide analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to senior management.
• Spearhead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Identify opportunities for financial performance improvement across the organization.
• Assist management in tracking adherence to the budget with variance analysis and explanations.
• Develop, update, and maintain individual business unit and consolidated financial models to help facilitate decision-making.
• Coordinate financial inputs for proposals.
• Assist with financial review of monthly transactions.
• Assist with month end, quarter end, and year end close process as needed.
• Support internal and external audit requests and reporting functions.
• Work with corporate and subsidiary intercompany transactions.
• Assist in developing ad hoc planning models/tools to facilitate business decisions.
• Assist with data gathering to support preparation of invoices.
• Support creation of materials for various management reviews, proposals, and meetings.
• Build and monitor KPIs to inspect business health and performance.
• Build scalable processes and mechanisms to enhance financial visibility, control, and planning effectiveness that supports future growth.
• Perform annual billable rate analysis for current and future customers.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• Requires at least five (5) years related experience, preferably in the energy services industry.
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, financial statements and reports, accounting ledgers, and computer technology related to accounting systems.
• Experience with QuickBooks Advanced Online preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Excel skills are a must — including pivot tables, advanced formulas, and financial model development (Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement models).
• Experience with Power Query and Power BI.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Highly motivated, self-directed, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
