Wage band range $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 annual; however, starting pay is ultimately determined by the scope of the position, the candidate's relevant experience, and internal equity.
Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Director engages with a diverse range of stakeholders, including community members, corporations, donors, volunteers, Casa Pacifica’s Angels Auxiliary, and event participants, to ensure the development of meaningful and productive partnerships.
The Director of Development is responsible for advancing Casa Pacifica’s mission by overseeing fundraising, donor engagement, and community outreach. This position reports to the Chief Development Officer and manages aspects of development, annual appeals, individual giving, special events, corporate sponsorships, donor database management, volunteer engagement, and communications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fundraising & Donor Relations
- Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising plan across individual, corporate, and foundation donors.
- Manage a portfolio of donors with timely stewardship and recognition.
- Research and cultivate new prospects; prepare proposals and presentations.
- Partner with the Chief Development Officer and Major Gift Officers on campaigns and appeals.
- Oversee and grow the Corporate Leader Program (event sponsorships).
Events & Volunteer Engagement
- Supervise the Events Team to deliver successful fundraising events with strong sponsorships and volunteer participation.
- Supervise the Volunteer and Community Engagement Coordinator.
- Lead the Casa Pacifica Angels Board activities and the Children’s Holiday Giving Program.
Database & Operations
- Supervise the Raiser’s Edge Specialist; ensure accurate data, acknowledgments, and reporting.
- Oversee Raiser’s Edge training and serve as backup for entry and stewardship processes.
- Monitor fundraising progress and evaluate strategies for effectiveness.
Communications & Community Outreach
- Collaborate with the Communications team on marketing, campaigns, and donor materials.
- Strengthen Casa Pacifica’s visibility through relationships with community groups, leaders, and partners.
- Coordinate outreach events and initiatives to expand engagement.
Leadership & Administration
- Supervise development staff (Events Team, Raiser’s Edge Donor Database Entry Specialist, and Volunteer & Community Engagement Coordinator).
- Mentor, supervise staff and promote a collaborative, high-performing team.
- Manage departmental budgets, timelines, and fundraising goals.
- Ensure ethical, professional conduct while applying best practices in fundraising.
- Stay current on emerging trends and incorporate innovative approaches.
