Position Summary
The Resource Development Manager plays a critical role in supporting and expanding IMPACCT Brooklyn’s fundraising efforts through foundation, corporate, and government grants; donor cultivation and stewardship; and fundraising campaigns. 
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented and mission-driven professional with exceptional interpersonal skills, a passion for providing affordable housing, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment.

This position will work closely with IMPACCT’s leadership team and fellow department staff to sustain and grow revenue streams that support IMPACCT’s broad impact across housing, financial empowerment, and community leadership.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Grant Writing & Management
•    Manage and execute a robust grants calendar, including proposals, reports, renewals, and deadlines across institutional funders.
•    Collaborate with program and finance teams to gather data, develop narratives, and ensure compliance with funder requirements. 
•    Conduct funder prospect research and prepare briefing materials for senior leadership.
•    Work with grant writers to ensure accuracy and consistency across proposals.
Campaign & Donor Engagement
•    Support the design and implementation of multi-channel fundraising campaigns (online, mail, and events).
•    Manage donor stewardship processes, including thank-you letters, updates, and engagement materials.
•    Segment donor lists and provide detailed fundraising reports and analysis to guide strategy.
Database & Reporting
•    Ensure accurate and consistent tracking of donor data and grant deliverables.
•    Create reports on grant performance, campaign outcomes, and donor trends.
•    Identify and recommend process improvements for data integrity and donor experience.
 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
•    Bachelor’s degree required.
•    At least 3 years of nonprofit fundraising or development experience, with a strong track record in grant writing.
•    Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to translate program impact into compelling proposals.
•    Experience managing fundraising campaigns and donor relations.
•    Familiarity with donor databases such as Salesforce or similar CRM platforms.
•    Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
•    A commitment to racial, housing, and economic justice aligned with IMPACCT Brooklyn’s mission.
•    Experience working in or with historically underinvested communities is a plus.
•    Proficient in Microsoft software programs with excellent computer skills.
•    Having experience in event planning and fundraising is beneficial.
•    Self-motivated, self-sufficient, and highly reliable 

 

Employment Status
Full-time, 9 AM – 5 PM
Occasional evening or weekend work and local travel may be required for events or funder meetings.

This job operates in a professional office environment.  This role involves a mix of office tasks and direct participant engagement. The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this position successfully. The role requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods at a desk and work on a computer, as well as occasionally lifting materials weighing up to 25 pounds.  Mobility is needed to navigate the office and assist participants during programs. Typically based in a standard office setting, the environment has a noise level is usually moderate to high, depending on the time of day and client population.  Regular interaction with clients and staff fosters a supportive atmosphere, and the noise level is usually moderate to high, depending on the time of day.
