Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a Nurse Supervisor (RN) to join our Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU), a 24/7, 16-bed facility providing intensive behavioral health crisis intervention to clients for up to five days. This role supports the Nurse Manager in supervising CSU nurses, overseeing training, process implementation, scheduling, and documentation while fostering collaborative partnerships with clinical staff. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly collaborative, and skilled in de-escalation, with strong nursing judgment and a passion for crisis care. Requirements include an active RN license in good standing, psychiatric nursing experience, and current BLS certification. Schedule. This position is fully onsite/in-person, working overnight shifts on a 4-day per week, 10-hour shift schedule, with varying days, including weekends. Flexibility is required to ensure consistent night shift coverage, including occasional support for call-offs as needed.

 

 

Salary for this role. The starting wage is based on experience and company equity. Paid bi-weekly. 

  • $40.22 - $48.42 per hour 

 

Shift Differential Pay. The Day weekend shift differential is paid from 7 am to 3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays only; the Swing shift differential is paid from 3 pm to 11 pm; and the Overnight shift differential is paid from 11 pm - 7 am

  • Day Weekend (Sat, Sun): $2.50/hour
  • Swing Weekday (Mon-Thurs): $2.75/hour
  • Swing Weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun): $3.25//hour
  • Overnight Weekday (Monday - Thursday): $4.00/hour
  • Overnight Weekend (Friday, Saturday & Sunday): $5.00/hour

 

Bilingual Language Differential Pay. *Rate depends on language requirements for the position and the candidate's fluency.

  • Employees will receive scheduled earnings on a bi-weekly basis, equivalent to 5% of their regular base rate (hourly or salaried), with a maximum amount of $3,000.00 per calendar year. The annual maximum amount will be prorated based on full-time equivalency (FTE).

 

Essential Functions:

  • Supervisor Accountabilities: Lead a work group and provide direction on a daily basis. Provide feedback to
    employees and may provide input into performance review. Monitor and guide performance indicators.
  • Support Clinical Manager/Clinical Director to articulate, communicate, and hold nursing staff accountable for performance expectations, access-to-care targets, and patient experience goals.
  • Support the clinical functions of the medical team. Complete medical orders. Communicate vital patient care information to physician/prescriber.
  • Perform nursing interventions as needed, including:
    • Observe, identify, and monitor condition of patient, including changes in symptoms, and relates same to appropriate members of the treatment team.
    • Administer injections and medications, as required.
    • Provide medical case management and other clinical interventions, as appropriate.
    • Act as liaison to outside agencies and providers to ensure continuity of care for patients.
    • Aid in crisis intervention, as needed.
    • Accurately and completely charts interventions, lab results, medications dispensed, and all activities related to patient interactions according to organization's procedures.
  • Complete required education and training in a timely manner.
  • Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) is required. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • State of Colorado Registered Nurse in good standing
  • Current BLS Certification
  • Two years of relevant clinical experience.
  • Previous leadership experience is preferred.
  • Ability to administer medications and injections.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills.
  • Effective organizational and leadership skills.

 

 

Required Vaccination and TB Test.
