Join Our Crisis Services Team!
Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is a key participant in a statewide crisis initiative, providing critical resources for individuals facing mental health, substance use, and emotional crises. Our Crisis Services division includes a 24/7 Walk-In Clinic (WIC) offering immediate assessments and referrals for those in crisis, and a 16-bed Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) for adults requiring short-term intensive care. Our CSU delivers comprehensive mental health treatment, including medication management, individual and group therapy, and round-the-clock support in a trauma-informed setting.
We are seeking a Master's level Unlicensed Therapist (MA in Counseling with a Candidate Permit – SWC/LSW, LPCC, or MFT-C), Licensed Therapist (LCSW, LPC, or LMFT), or Unlicensed/Licensed Psychologist to join our Crisis Services team. In this role, you will conduct thorough evaluations for walk-in clients, assess safety and risk through safety planning, lethal means restriction, and Columbia screenings, and determine the appropriate level of care, including placement in the CSU or referrals to external agencies. Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, milieu counselors, nurses, psychiatrists, and case managers, you will play a pivotal role in delivering life-changing crisis intervention services.
The ideal candidate has experience in mental health crisis management, including M1 hold procedures, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. If you're passionate about providing compassionate care to individuals in crisis and eager to join a dedicated, on-site clinical team, we invite you to apply and help us make a difference in our community.
