Aurora Mental Health & Recovery (AMHR) is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to join our Crisis team. The Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is a 24-hour, 16-bed facility providing intensive behavioral health crisis intervention for up to five days. Our multidisciplinary team includes Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners, RNs, LPNs, Medical Assistants, Therapists, Case Managers, Milieu Counselors, and Peer Support Specialists. NOC Shifts: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM and 8:30 PM – 9:00 AM
Scheduling Expectations:
- This position is fully onsite/in-person
- Full-Time Nurses: Choose 3 (three) 12-hour shifts per week (0.9 FTE)
- Weekend Coverage: Minimum of 2 weekend shifts per month
- Holiday Coverage: Participate in a minimum of 2–4 holiday shifts per year

$4,000 Sign-On Bonus Available!  *Sign-on Bonus not eligible for internal employees and re-hired employees within 90 days from separation. Sign-on Bonus is based on full-time (36 hours/week). Prorated if fewer than 36 hours/week. Paid in two installments: 50% on the first paycheck, 50% on the paycheck following the 6-month anniversary.

Shift Differential Pay. The Day weekend shift differential is paid from 7 am to 3 pm on Saturdays and Sundays only; the Swing shift differential is paid from 3 pm to 11 pm; and the Overnight shift differential is paid from 11 pm - 7 am
- Day Weekend (Sat, Sun): $2.50
- Overnight Weekday (Monday - Thursday): $4.00/hour
- Overnight Weekend (Friday, Saturday & Sunday): $5.00/hour
- Swing Weekday (Mon-Thurs): $2.75/hour
- Swing Weekend (Fri, Sat, Sun): $3.25/hour

Bilingual Language Differential Pay. *Rate depends on language requirements for the position and the candidate's fluency.
- Employees will receive scheduled earnings on a bi-weekly basis, equivalent to 5% of their regular base rate (hourly or salaried), with a maximum amount of $3,000.00 per calendar year. The annual maximum amount will be prorated based on full-time equivalency (FTE).

Essential Functions:
- Support the medical and clinical functions of the medical team (completing all medical orders and communicating vital patient care information to the physician/prescriber).
- Screen potential clients for admission and adhere to admission criteria. This may include testing for COVID-19.
- Complete nursing assessments of clients upon admission.
- Document clear and concise notes regarding patients’ condition, reaction to medication, and treatments in EMR.
- Perform nursing interventions within the scope of practice, congruent with licensing.
- Contribute to the development of the treatment planning process as it relates to medical needs and concerns.
- Provide educational support surrounding medications and self-administration.
- Provide coordination and support to program staff and clients.
- Observe, identify, and monitor the condition of the patient, including changes in symptoms, and relates same to appropriate members of the treatment team.
- Administer injections and medications.
- Provide medical case management and other clinical interventions, as appropriate.
- Act as liaison to outside agencies and providers to ensure continuity of care for patients.
- Provide assistance in crisis intervention, as needed.
- Complete required education and training in a timely manner.
- Provide information to credentialing, payroll, etc. in a timely manner.
- Attend meetings and training as needed.
- Maintain professional licensing as required by applicable state laws.
- Other related duties as assigned.
