Position Overview
The Head Golf Professional is accountable for managing the golf department of the club, this includes golf shop operations, outside guest service operations, merchandising and assisting the General Manager in day-to-day club operations. On a daily basis directly manages all golf operational areas as described by the General Manager.

Since 2022, Cabot has managed the strategy and operations of four exceptional golf courses across the United States, including Cascata and Rio Secco in Las Vegas, Nevada, Grand Bear in Saucier, Mississippi, and Chariot Run in Laconia, Indiana.
Grand Bear Golf Club
Grand Bear, A Jack Nicklaus signature design, offers a unique golf experience secluded by nature, where no two holes parallel another. Essential Functions

- Assist the General Manager in all aspects of day-to-day operations.
- Display conduct at all times and in all matters in accordance with the standards accepted for Head Golf Professionals and those established by the PGA of America for golf professionals.
- Initiate and promote golf activities for members and guests.
- Maintain a dress code and personal conduct at all times.
- Perform duties and meet requirements for sales, rentals, and services that the Head Golf Professional deems necessary.
- Be an active Member of the Professional Golfers Association and actively pursue the course of instruction offered in the program.
- Promote the interest of the golf facility by providing the highest service standards to our members & guests.
- Play with our guests and Members when requested and maintain a good playing ability.
- Maintain a neat and clean golf shop and be the lead with monthly inventories.
- Receive, price and sell merchandise.
- Organize staff meetings.
- Order merchandise as necessary for stock and special orders.
- Oversee golf staff and players services staff to assure proper performance.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of the overall operations.
- Keep golf shop supplies current, scorecards, starting sheets, tees, pencils, etc.
- Keep counter area neat clean and well organized.
- Assist club staff when assistance is needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills
- Active Member of the Professional Golfers Association
- Able to communicate with all kinds of people.
In addition, the ideal candidate will be or have:
- Previous experience in a high-end public or private club

Physical Demands
Ability to perform moderate physical work, may be required to lift 100 lbs. occasionally, up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 20 lbs. constantly, performing such activities as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, lifting, and grasping for up to five hours without sitting.
Work Environment
Most of your daily routine is indoors. You are required to assist guests at times, and this may mean loading golf bags (outdoors), hosting tournaments, and hosting out on the golf course where weather conditions may range from extreme heat to bitter cold.
