HIGHLIGHTS
As a Staff Accountant, you will assist in the planning and execution of all accounting operations. This role ensures accuracy in general ledger entries, financial reporting, and adherence to accounting principles.

This position is full-time and in-Office during regular business hours.

 

 

THE ROLE

Job Functions

  • Facilitates the daily operations of the accounting department, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, assisting with bank reconciliations, payroll operations, and maintains the general ledger
  • Codes invoices, sets up new accounts, reconciles accounts, and closes the monthly books
  • Reconciles customer accounts and manages accounts receivable collections
  • Verifies payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts
  • Assists with required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies
  • Assists with the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles
  • Reports on significant variances in financial reporting along with explanation
  • Assists with financial analysis, pricing updates, and contract execution
  • Assists customers and vendors with inquiries and resolves disputes
  • Works with external accountants and provides needed information for the annual tax return and financial statements
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Degree -level education in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
  • GAAP experience
