- Education:
- Associate’s degree or technical certification in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years CAD work experience, with demonstrated proficiency in 3D solid modeling, including complex assemblies and drawings. SolidWorks experience is required.Â
- Basic knowledge/understanding of mechanical systems, welding and manufacturing processes
- Software Proficiency:
- Experience with the following is desirable but not strictly required:
- Solidworks Routing functionality (for hose and harness routing)
- Solidworks PDM Professional
- Catia V5
- Autocad / Draftsight
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and project management tools is a plus.
- Documentation & Standards:
- Experience working with engineering documentation and adhering to company-specific standards for drawings and project specifications.
- Communication Skills:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders via email and on Microsoft Teams videoconferencing.
- Ability to clearly present design ideas, revisions, and project updates to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Able to quickly adapt to new CAD software tools or updates to existing software.
- Flexibility to work on a variety of projects across different industries.
- Knowledge of Industry Standards:
- Familiarity with industry-specific standards for drafting and design in fields such as architecture, engineering, and manufacturing.
- Ability to stay updated on changes to design and drafting standards to ensure compliance.

- Capable of managing multiple tasks and working under tight deadlines to support ongoing projects.
- Proven ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality output.
Pay Range
Estimated Salary Range: $58,600 to $63,500 annually (DOE)
