STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The QC Laboratory Technician obtains production samples and performs a wide range of tests utilizing a methodical and analytical approach. This testing is vital to ensuring we produce safe quality products for our customers and ensuring that we are able to meet or exceed their expectations.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Laboratory

Performs all standard test procedures in both physical and microbiological laboratories for finished product

Maintain proper record keeping and data entry

Maintain various inventory of lab supplies

Follows all safety regulations and GMPs/GLPs

Prepare media and stock supplies for routine laboratory testing

Maintain an orderly and clean laboratory and communal work area

Calibrate, verify and operate testing instrumentation in a safe and professional manner.

Ability to handle multiple priorities with high degree of accuracy

GMP and HACCP tasks

May be required to occasionally work longer than scheduled hours for time in-lieu compensation.

Available to work holidays as well as Saturday and/or Sundays

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but hearing protection may be required depending on the department where the employee is assigned.
