Description

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Banquet Captain to oversee the execution of events and banquets at our venue. This role involves leading and coordinating the banquet staff, ensuring smooth service delivery, and maintaining high standards of hospitality for all guests. The Banquet Captain will work closely with the event planning , sales, and food and beverage management team to ensure that all aspects of the event run smoothly, from setup to breakdown. Essential Job Functions: 

 

  • Lead and supervise the banquet staff during events, ensuring smooth service and high levels of guest satisfaction. 

  • Coordinate with the kitchen, event planners, and other departments to ensure seamless execution of events. 

  • Oversee the setup, service, and breakdown of banquet events, ensuring all details meet the client’s expectations. 

  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, addressing guest needs and concerns promptly and courteously. 

  • Ensure proper inventory control and report any issues with supplies, equipment, or facilities. 

  • Train and mentor banquet staff, promoting a high standard of service and teamwork.

 

Qualifications

Position Requirements:  

 

  • Previous experience in banquet service or event coordination, preferably in a hotel or venue setting. 

  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team. 

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with clients, guests, and staff. 

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Knowledge of banquet service standards and food & beverage operations. 

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate guest needs. 

  • A friendly, positive, and professional demeanor with a commitment to delivering outstanding guest service. 

  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 25 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
