OVERVIEW:        

The Warehouse Automation Supervisor works with the Automation Manager and System Service Technicians and in tandem with the Director of Operations and the Warehouse Operations team. This person will be responsible for ensuring the safe and continual operation of the automation system. This includes the successful startup of the automation system, Supervision of the team members tasked with supporting the automation, an understanding of the controls system and an understanding of the various sub systems. The Warehouse Automation Supervisor will need to understand the interaction between Encompass, the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and Warehouse Control System (WCS) and be able to efficiently access, analyze and act on system faults that are displayed within the various systems to help reduce/minimize downtime and maximize throughput. Experience with pallet building sequences, WMS replenishments, manual operation of robotic palletizers and automatic stretch wrappers is required. The Warehouse Automation Supervisor will need to attend on/off-site training by the various sub-system vendors of the material handling system and be able to train new operators.                                           

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Supervise Automation Techs, Layer pickers, Directed Replenishment and Palletizer teams.
• Be able to communicate system issues to various suppliers.
• Master the daily order flow routine to ensure maximum throughput is achieved.
• The ability to read and understand System Manuals & Diagnostic Materials.
• Provide daily reporting of system health. Ensure accuracy, and productivity goals are met
• Be able to train Operators and Technicians as needed.
• Complete other tasks as requested by Suncoast Management.
• Enforce warehouse safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and manufacturer safety guidelines.
• Identify and mitigate safety hazards related to automated machinery. Conduct regular safety inspections and participate in safety training programs.
• Ensure all automation equipment is properly calibrated and maintained according to manufacturer specifications.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Work required shift until job duties are completed. 2pm until close, one weekend day is required.
• Physical ability and skills to complete all job tasks.
• Computer literacy to use job related programs including WMS, WCS and Automation Control System.
• Willingness to work a minimum of 50 hours per week, not including break time.
• Complete all training required for the position including safety and OSHA training.
• Read and understand Suncoast Beverage Sales Policy Manual.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

JOB QUALIFCATIONS:

• Graduate from an accredited college with at least an associate's degree in industrial technology or engineering 
• One to two years of experience in systems maintenance, mechanical, electrical and some basic experience with controls troubleshooting experience preferred. OR no degree and 3-5 years of related experience.
• Previous experience in a leadership role is preferred.
