Description

United Grain Corporation is hiring a Data Analyst to join our team on-site at our corporate office located in downtown Vancouver, WA.  This is a full-time, salaried, hybrid role.  Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in data analytics, information systems, computer science, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience), and 5+ years of experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role; ERP implementation experience is preferred, proficiency with Power BI and DAX; experience developing executive dashboards and self-service reports preferred, strong SQL knowledge with demonstrated experience working with relational databases and large data sets.  Ability to express or exchange ideas in English both verbally and in writing.  Relocation is not provided for this position, and candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.  Additional requirements below.

Job Summary

The Data Analyst will assist in the implementation of our enterprise-wide ERP. This position will be responsible for driving data accuracy, system integration insights, and cross-departmental decision-making throughout the ERP project lifecycle. The Data Analyst will collaborate across functional units—including Finance, Operations, and CRM—to deliver powerful dashboards, performance metrics, and meaningful business intelligence.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partners with business units and ERP consultants to analyze data requirements and ensure consistent and accurate migration from legacy systems to Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Builds, maintains, and optimizes Power BI dashboards that provide visibility into project milestones, data readiness, performance KPIs, and user adoption metrics.
  • Translates complex data into actionable insights that inform ERP configuration, business workflows, and leadership reporting.
  • Writes and executes complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and validation across legacy systems and new environments.
  • Collaborates closely with IT, Finance, CRM, and Supply Chain teams to define data mapping logic and ensure cross-functional alignment.
  • Supports master data management and data governance strategies across the ERP landscape.
  • Performs gap analysis and assists in root cause investigations related to data discrepancies, system errors, or business process conflicts.
  • Provides training and documentation to business users on newly implemented dashboards, data tools, and reporting environments.
  • Participates in system testing, including UAT support, with a focus on data validation and accuracy.
  • Serves as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders during go-live and post-go-live support phases.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in a data analysis or business intelligence role; ERP implementation experience preferred.
  • Proficiency with Power BI and DAX; experience developing executive dashboards and self-service reports preferred.
  • Strong SQL knowledge with demonstrated experience working with relational databases and large data sets.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (F&O and/or CE) and related data structures.
  • Experience working with data migration tools, staging tables, or middleware platforms is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data governance, data warehousing concepts, and performance tuning.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Experience with Excel, SharePoint, and Teams; familiarity with Azure and/or Dataverse is a plus.
  • Must be computer literate with proven ability in the use of spreadsheets, databases, and word processing software applications within a Windows-based operating environment. 
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and comprehend written and oral operational and safety instructions and related rules, policies, and memos, and communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors.
  • Must be able to make decisions, work independently be detail oriented.
  • Ability to express or exchange ideas in English by means of the spoken word to impart oral information to customers, the public, and to convey detailed spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
