- Prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation of student injuries
- Perform comprehensive examinations of orthopedic injuries or medical conditionsÂ
- Taping, bracing, treatment modalities, and rehabilitation of injuries
- Communicate updates regarding student-athlete injury status to the Director of Sports Medicine
- Adhere to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) guidelines in all forms of communication
- Understand mental health as it relates to injuries
- Assist with all daily athletic training room operations
- Maintain daily up-to-date accurate medical records on a computerized software program that meets legal and regulatory standards
- Cover practices and home sporting events
- Organize inventory for the annual sports medicine budgetÂ
- Follow and support NATA standards, expectations, policy, and procedures, ensuring consistency with the Crystal Sports Medicine ProgramÂ
- Act as an ambassador for the school’s mission and philosophy of the Sports Medicine and Athletic Departments
- Ability to communicate effectively with all constituencies
- Passion for working with upper and middle school students
- Strong organizational and time management skills

- Light travel between the MS and US campuses

Required Education, Certifications, and Work-Related Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Current Athletic Trainers’ Certification (NATABOC)Â
- Current American Red Cross/American Heart Association, BLS Healthcare Provider Certification
- Minimum of two to three years of athletic training experience in an educational setting
- Basic knowledge and understanding of the professionalism and intensity necessary to successfully contribute to a secondary school athletics program
- Operational knowledge of Google applications and gmail; MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferences:
- Master’s degree
- Operational knowledge of ImPACT online concussion structureÂ
- Certification specialties in the treatment of soft tissue injuries with manual therapy
- Experience working with electronic injury surveillance and medical records programs

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:
- Work in a fast-paced environment dealing with a wide variety of challenges and deadlines
- Work in a traditional climate-controlled office environment
- Work in outside weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
- Tasks involve the ability to exert heavy physical effort, including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and crawling, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling moderately heavy objects and materials weighing 20-50 pounds
- 10 - 25% travel

Salary and Benefits
We will consider filling this as a part-time or full-time, (benefits-eligibility dependent on FTE), 10-month administrative staff position, and the annual salary is commensurate with education, experience within the range of $55,000 - $80,000 (presenting full-time salary; will be adjusted if filled as a part-time position)

The recruitment period will remain open until sufficient resumes have been received and may close at any time a sufficient pool of highly qualified candidates has been established.  First consideration will be given to individuals that apply between February 14,2025 through February 21, 2025.  Second consideration will be given to individuals that apply between February 22, 2025 through February 28, 2025. The ideal start date for this position is March, 2025
