Job Overview: The 3rd Shift Production Supervisor oversees a cross-functional team of operators in imaging, fabrication, and packaging to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality production during overnight hours. This leadership role is both hands-on and strategic, requiring clear communication, team development, and coordination with other shifts.
Objectives:
- Ensure all scheduled work is completed accurately and on time
- Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant production environment
- Proactively identify and resolve issues impacting quality or efficiency
- Support and coach team members to achieve individual and shift goals
- Facilitate clear communication between shifts and departments
Responsibilities:
- Supervise 3rd shift employees across multiple production cells and divisions
- Act as the primary contact for safety, quality, and productivity issues overnight
- Conduct shift startup meetings, assign tasks, and track performance
- Perform basic troubleshooting or hands-on support during bottlenecks
- Maintain production documentation and shift handoff reports
- Train new employees and monitor progress
- Participate in and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards
