Insurance

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure safety and compliance are the first considerations in aircraft operations.
  • Monitors maintenance performance of all scheduled and unscheduled aircraft operations.
  • Provide continuity between night and day operations to ensure the best opportunity for operational success.
  • Provide detailed reports of Out of Service events to the Maintenance Leadership team.
  • Assist Maintenance Control and/or technician with troubleshooting and/or repair of the aircraft while verifying the proper maintenance actions are being taken.
  • Ensures follow up on all required technicians, tooling, parts and ground equipment required to provide a sand and efficient Return-to-Service.
  • Coordinates with Regional Maintenance Managers, outstation maintenance technicians and Maintenance Providers to ensure mechanical irregularities are corrected in accordance with the Company Manuals.
  • Coordinates communication between all applicable departments during an Out of Service event and ensure accurate and timely information is provided.
  • Confirms all work performed on Company aircraft is accomplished by qualified, authorized and approved personnel.
  • When delegated, authorizes Ferry Flights and MEL Extensions IAW Company Manual System.
  • Other duties as assigned by leadership

Qualifications

  • Be at least 23 years of age.
  • Hold a Mechanic’s Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a position responsible for returning aircraft to service.
  • Have at least 1 year of experience in a supervisory capacity in maintaining the same category and class of aircraft as used by Company.
  • Detailed knowledge of aircraft, manuals, maintenance programs and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations as they relate to aircraft maintenance.
  • FAR Part 121 or Part 135 operational experience preferred.
  • Be authorized to work in the United States and able to travel in and out of the United States.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
  • Must understand, read, and write English.
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft suite of products including Office 365, Excel, Outlook, and Word. Must also have a basic understanding of similar soft wares
  • Able to pass a 10-year work history review and submit to criminal background and fingerprint checks.
  • Must pass a DOT-required pre-employment drug screening and be willing to submit to and pass FAA and Company-mandated random drug and alcohol testing
  • Able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varying schedules.
  • Possess polished and professional interpersonal skills with a positive attitude and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Possess strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Must have well-developed people skills and ability to work with a variety of personalities.
  • Able to coordinate multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Able to handle interruptions and a fast-paced environment
  • Maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Be self-motivated and able to motivate others.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal delivered with tact and professionalism.
  • Ability to work in a safe professional manner adhering to all regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, state, and federal regulations.
