REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil and/or environmental engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum, or equivalent.
- Limited knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering as applied to the design and construction of a variety of public works projects.
- Knowledge of engineering and some basic surveys. Ability to adapt approved engineering methods and standards to the design and construction of a variety of county public and private works with guidance from experienced engineers.
- Moderate skill in the use of engineering computer aided drafting.
- Ability to express ideas effectively orally and in writing.
- As necessary dependent on experience. Mentorship by experienced engineers is to be expected with the end-goal of independent engineering judgement in time. May be assisted by aides, inspectors, field personnel or technicians.
- Professional Engineers License preferred or Certified Engineer-In-Training required with minimum three (3) years engineering practice/experience.

- Employees will be required to perform field inspections of civil engineering projects.
