Description

Join our team at ABS Tag & Title as an Auto Title Clerk! Responsibilities include preparing vehicle title and registration documents, managing inventory information, processing transactions, and ensuring legal compliance. Ideal candidates should be computer savvy, detail-oriented, and understand data confidentiality principles.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Transfer data from paper formats into digital files or databases using a keyboard. 
  • Verify accuracy by comparing with source documents. 
  • Process registration for new and used vehicles in their respective states, ensuring all applications are complete and accurate. 
  • Submit legal registration work to the Department of Motor Vehicles while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulations. 
  • Communicate with customers and state agencies regarding inquiries, and adapt daily work to changing demands. 
  • Maintain up-to-date records, manage paperwork for title transfers, and assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic computer skills, including using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel) and email, are essential.
  • Prior relevant office experience preferred. 
  • Attention to detail with accuracy when managing multiple tasks.
  • Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Essential customer service skills focus.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize tasks and maintain a high level of organization.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) (required)
  • Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 2 years of previous office and customer service experience
  • Ability to work in a fast-pace environment while maintaining accuracy

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to operate standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, and telephones.
  • Will consistently work in a well-illuminated and temperature-controlled office setting.
  • The role requires sitting for roughly 90 percent of the day, with the remaining time spent walking, standing, bending, squatting, or lifting up to 15 pounds at a time.
