POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. The Accounting Supervisor at the South Sound YMCA maintains a supportive, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals and coordinates accounting functions such as accounts receivable, payables, general ledger/account maintenance and reporting.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise accounting staff.
- Plan, organize and coordinate accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, etc.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closings; including preparing and entering journal entries.
- Reconcile and analyze assigned general ledger accounts.
- Assist in preparation and analysis of financial statements and statistical data, including supporting operations staff in their analysis and review of their operations.
- Assist in budget preparation and forecasting.
- Acts as resource to staff for questions on or corrections to financial transactions in operations software.
- Establish and maintain internal controls.
- Complete a variety of accounting, financial analysis, and budget projects.
- Other duties assigned to meet the needs of the organization.
