Description

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing food according to recipes, ensuring high quality and consistency, and maintaining a clean, organized workstation. This role requires strong multitasking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards.

  • Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before the shift begins.

  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely fashion.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including equipment, utensils, and work areas.

  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.

  • Assist with inventory management and notify kitchen management of shortages or spoilage.

  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth operations and excellent customer service.

  • Assist in daily cleaning, closing duties, and equipment maintenance as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, prep cook, or similar role.

  • Knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.

  • Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards (ServSafe certification is a plus).

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
