SierTeK Ltd. is seeking two (2) Supply Technician/Material Coordinator (Swing Shift) to support an opportunity at Randolph AFB.

POSITION OVERVIEW SECTION 

The Supply Technician / Material Coordinator provides comprehensive material management and tool control support to maintenance operations. This position ensures full lifecycle accountability for hazardous materials (HM), tools, and test equipment, in compliance with Air Force and Department of Defense (DoD) directives. The employee will utilize authorized systems, manage inventories, and support day-to-day logistics functions to maintain compliance, safety, and mission readiness.

Essential Job Functions

Hazardous Material (HM) Management

  • Utilize the Enterprise Environmental Safety and Occupational Health – Management Information System (EESOH-MIS) to authorize, order, receive, issue, inventory, and account for hazardous materials.
  • Generate management reports identifying reorder needs, shelf-life status, inventory counts, and backorder conditions.
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and inspection of hazardous
  • Maintain compliance with local environmental management organization (EMO) controls and procedures.
  • Utilize Tool Control Maximum (TCMax) system where applicable for hazardous material control.
  • Store hazardous materials only in their original containers and ensure containers are properly labeled and inspected for defects, leaks, and expiration.
  • Conduct daily inspections of all HM lockers to identify and remove expired, damaged, or leaking materials.
  • Collect and transfer spent, used, or expired hazardous materials to properly labeled collection containers, coordinating disposal with the appropriate organization.
  • Complete Hazard Communication (HazCom) training prior to issuing or handling hazardous materials.

Tool and Equipment Management

  • Manage the tool issue center and ensure all operations comply with AFMCI 21-100V1/V2/V3_AFSCSUP and applicable operational instructions.
  • Receive, issue, inspect, repair, transport, and dispose of hand tools and Test Measurement and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE).
  • Build, track, and maintain tool kits while ensuring compliance with tool control and Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention procedures.
  • Verify tool issuance only to authorized personnel with valid security badges or letters of authority.
  • Ensure TMDE items are calibrated and within preventive maintenance (PM) schedules prior to issue; return overdue items for calibration as required.
  • Operate and maintain satellite tool issue locations to ensure proper stocking and management.
  • Conduct and document toolbox inventories using Tool Kit Custody Receipt Listings or other required documentation.
  • Mark and de-mark tools and toolboxes using government-provided laser etching equipment; use hand-scribing when necessary and re-etch when laser capability becomes available.

Tracking, Accountability, and Reporting

  • Maintain electronic tool and equipment records in Facility and Equipment Maintenance System (FEMS), PMEL SharePoint, and Excel-based tracking systems.
  • Generate and submit reports on temporary loan tools, overdue/pending items, monthly purchases, and annual template review statuses.
  • Store, inventory, and manage standard hand tools turned in as excess pending government disposition.
  • Process manufacturer and vendor warranties for standard and specialized tools.
  • Categorize, mark, and prepare tools for reuse or Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO) turn-in as applicable.
  • Follow established lost or missing tool procedures and report incidents immediately to the appropriate authority.

Qualifications

Minimum Position Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Skills & Experience:
    • Basic computer literacy and ability to use Air Force material management systems (e.g., EESOH-MIS, TCMax, FEMS).
    • Solid understanding of supply systems, logistics programs, and relevant Air Force manuals and policies.
    • Experience with hazardous material handling, environmental compliance, and tool control preferred.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to safely operate forklifts, material handling equipment, and government vehicles.
