Job Overview:
Oversee and manage the planning, execution and close-out of capital improvement projects from inception to completion, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Initiation
- Assist senior management with the development of long-term capital improvement plans. Define project scope, goals and deliverables.
- Ensure clear understanding of contract terms and specifications
- Budget Development and Financial Control
- Oversight of the design and construction phases of projects, including bid development, bid review, and contractor management.
- Monitor project expenditures, analyze variances, and implement cost control measures.
- Manage billing, invoicing, and collections.
- Manage scope changes through a formal change order process.
- Schedule development and oversight
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standards.
- Work with various internal and external stakeholders, including consultants, contractors, staff, and the public.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
- Project Close-out
- Verify that projects are completed according to contractual terms, including completion of punch list items and final inspections
- Reconcile all project accounts, close out contract and ensure final payments.

EXPERIENCE:
Experience in project management, construction management, or related fields is essential.Â
TECHINCAL SKILLS:
Strong understanding of construction processes, design standards, and project management methodologies.Â
LEADERSHIP AND COMMUNICATION:
Ability to lead teams, communicate effectively with various stakeholders, and make strategic decisions.Â
FINANCIAL ACUMEN:
Proficiency in capital budgeting, cost control, and financial forecasting
